Question about Hobart D340-6007 Mixer
The 12 and 20 are different animals and a12 will not accept 20 quart equipment. Older hobart 20 quarts (A-series) will take a 12 quart down size bowl and has special attachments but a 12 will not go up to a 20. If you have a 12 quart legacy you will have to use 12 quart attachments and bowl. I presume your hope ing for 20 quart stuff after seeing the costs. Be thankful you don't have a 10 quart. Makes no sense but the small machine attachments are outrageously priced. Just as an added note. Do not buy any 12 or 20 quart parts for, your legacy from an older A series model as they will not fit.

Do you in fact have the 20 quart bowl? I believe it may need new arm extensions, I will research this, but verify you do have the 20 quart bowl? If not, why not just buy a replacement 12 quart bowl that was identical to what you had before?
Thanks
Tim

I couldn't find anything on the net to indicate the 12 qt and 20 qt would be interchangeable. You best bet would be to contact the manufacturer through the information in your manual.
The units may look the same in the parts book, but they simply, because of volume, couldn't be the same size.
Good luck, perhaps Hobart has a solution.

Hi,
In picture it may look alike but actually the size varies. The length of 12 vs 20 bowl varies.it goes on increasing like 40 qt and 60 qt.The mouth of the 20qt will fit but the length will not get adjust. The bottom leg of the Mixer will be a problem. It cannot adjust to it.You cant change the leg alone.
post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

Yes but look at the picture of a 20q legacy and a 12q legacy and you will see the same machine and the length of the bowl shorter on the 12q with lots of room under it. Can someone who has both mixers let me know if they interchange.
Thanks
Looking to see if someone has put a legacy 20q bowl and attachment on a 12q legacy...???
They are the same size as i called hobart and the parts dep. confirmed it. They however did not know if they are interchangable!!
Anybody???
