You can unlock it by flashing your mobile if your mobile is a CDMA

No, haier phones cannot be unlocked. To use the phone with
another service provider, the ROM would have to be flashed.
Note: Flashing the ROM is not a good idea in this case. It would be better for you to purchase a phone compatible with your new service provider.

There are basically 2 branches when it comes to mobile phones. Some phones have SIM cards to connect or another technology that does NOT use sim cards These non-sim phones use CDMA instead of SIMs, so you cannot just swap SIMs like on GSM.
This is GSM and is what T-Mobile and AT&T use for voice.
Sprint and Verizon use CDMA but isn't normally unlocked.
So think GSM / SIM cards...
