You dont need to spend time and money for this. Microsoft Word provides the tools to create a variety of document types like creative flyers and brochures, sophisticated resumes and attractive business cards. There are also available templets for such creativity but if you need more attraction on your card you can visit web stores on internet where they provide discount on bulk printing. Sir,

Follow these steps:

1. First click on Tools - click on Options.
Click on General in the general heading you will see a heading saying measurement units it should say “centimeters” if not click on inches and change it to centimeters click OK on options.
2. Click on File go to Print.
In Print click on Page Options. ( In Xp = Change copies per sheet )
When you’re in Page options go to Custom Options, when you’re in custom options there will be a number of headings.

Side margin to 1.9 cm
Top margin to 1.3 cm
Horizontal gap to 0 cm
Vertical gap to 0 cm
Your print preview and print out should look like this except much more creative as this was made in a template........... Boring!!! (always preview your prints)

3. Click Ok to Custom Options , click OK to Page Options , click OK to Print and now your business cards are printing 10 cards to the page on perforated Avery card stock and you have set your computer to an industry standard!!

and also try this to change the margin settings sir. It will be helpful. In 2002-03, select business cards in the page setup, you needn't a template number if the card is the standard 2 x 3.5. Click change copies per sheet, set the top margin to .75, side margin .5 and the gaps to zero. This will result having 10 cards. In Publisher 2000 and below, you change the margins and gaps when you finish creating your card and go to print. Click Page Options, click Custom Options. -Here's I do it with Publisher 2000. File Page Setup Special Size Business Card from the drop down menu OK Create card. Assuming you are using standard business card stock of 2 wide and 5 high; File Print Page options button Print multiple copies per sheet Custom options button Margins = .5" Gap = 0" Side Margins = .75" Vertical gap = 0" OK OK OK And it's printing a sheet of ten cards. Save the file and all the settings will be saved for the next batch of the same cards.

Thanks

You need to set the print size to match the size of the card.

you either need to resize the document or change your print preferences to match the size of the card.

I beleave the card side is 2" x 3½" you need to make your document match that size exactly.

Try placing the business card sheet in the main paper bin instead of the manual feed or adjusting the print orientation from Portrait to Landscape or vice versa.

My problem with alignment was caused by the printer being set to the wrong paper size (A4 not letter). This may not be a solution to the first problem.

Check your printer's capability.

Buy the card stock they recommend.

If all else fails, print on plain and take card stock to a copy shop and have them do it for you.

I have an HP PSC1315 which is virtually the same printer. I actually created my own template where 10 business cards are printed as if it were one sheet of paper(like a poster). Of course you you can't select how many cards print, or which card to start on, but at least I get 10 perfectly centered cards.
