Winfax Pro has been long discontinued software. It also will NOT run properly under Windows XP. That is the problem.

Error


This problem is caused by the new security features that are added by SP2and above(for winXP). To prevent the error message and enable Fax Sharing, either update WinFax to version 10.04, or manually reconfigure the Windows XP security settings to permit Fax Sharing to work.

based on limited description of the issue possible causes - 1. memory corruption 2. corruption of bios 3. boot sector on hard disk failed or crashed
