I recently had a spacemaker XL1400 (I think) stop working. Being an EE, I opened it up and started troubleshooting and parts replacement. I found the magnetron to have a melted antenae, shorted diode and blown thermal cutout. All of the wiring looked good. I replaced all 3 parts and then put it back together, hung it back on wall and plugged it in. The exhaust fan turns on low speed and won't turn off!! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx,

What a coincedence - the fan will not turn off on my spacemaker xl also. I have to leave the door open in order for the fan not to run. It's almost 11 years old. Was wondering if it can be fixed or needs to be replaced.

The fan may need to be replaced, and or the drive circuit to the fan has a fault condition.
