I have a Dell dimension 3000 and keep getting the monitor menu screen popping up. This happens all the time. Monitor buttons don't seem to do much.

Hi! Please try this... Disconnect the video and power cable of the monitor then press hold the power button for 10secs. to reset the system. Plug the cables again then see how it goes. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

What do u mean by menu screen? do you mean the dell logo screen? if so u have RAM problems, disconnect power to PC and remove the RAM sticks from the motherboard and reinstall, this reset the RAM memory and usually cures the problem. please watch this instructional video on YouTube, go to link.

The MENU screen keeps popping up. I can exit out but it comes back on. I thought maybe the button was stuck on my remote so i removed the batteries and it still does the same thing. The longest the screen...

You have to contact the authorized service provider as this fault
seems to be on the control processor.

Or check the menu and try to disable it. Scroll through the options.
Try looking patiently! Finally call the service provider, if no alternative.

My Magnavox 17in LCD TV (17MF200V/17) shows message ''Attention OSD Main Menu locked. cannot use any functions on tv. i.e., volume , menu, etc

It means that some kind of parental control feature has locked you out of the On Screen Display menu. You will have to consult your manual (possibly online) to figure out how to reset the password.
Although it is possible some other kind of malfunction could cause you to lose menu control, this is the most likely cause.

My monitor menu settings box keeps coming on right in the middle of the screen. Sometimes it will go off when I push the ''exit'' botton. But it goes on and off all the time. It makes it hard to do...

Sounds as if the "menu" button is making intermittent contact. Try spraying it with an electronic solvent (available from most Electrical/Electronic outlets. e.g. RS Components) and press it many times (Power off!). This may rid the button of any gunk in there.

Phillips 37PF73203 37 in Television goes straigt to Menu and stays

When I turn on my TV it goes straight to the menu screen. You can still hear sound but no picture. When I try to exit you see the picture for about a second then it automatically flashes back to the menu screen. Even if I try to use the functions in the menu screen it flashes right back to the main menu screen. Very frustrated...need help!

Problem with Control Panel

It sounds like theres a front panel button that has become intermittant and making contact all by itself. Sometimes when you clean the screen, the cleaner will drip down between the crt face aqnd the cabinet and make the switch in front go bad. Im not sure if this is the case in your problem but its a start. If you didnt spill anything or drip anything into the front panel then your maicroprocessor could be causeing the problem, or the 5 volts that feed the micro could be noisy ie, bad filter capacitor in the power supply. Now as im sure your aware of the hi voltage inside these sets? Its best if you dont have the training to get a pro to assist you as this hi voltage can hang around inside the set even if its unplugged. Good Luck
