If only the keyboard doesn't work then turn the notebook off, open it up and lie it face down on a towel until it is complete dry. Removing the keyboard will allow it to dry quicker. If that does not work then find a new keyboard on eBay and replace it.

If the keyboard still does not work then take it to a service center as this is a much more serious problem.

Good luck!

Can my calculator be fixed if water has been spilt on it??

Trey taking it apart and drying it. Use cans of compressed air , if necessary. Put it out in the sun, all day, to dry. If this does not work,
something got fried. These procedures need to be done BEFORE turning it back on.

I can't open the casing :S someone spilt sticky drink on the mouse and now the right mouse button is a little gummy and not always responsive .

unplug the mouse and put it into a container filled with distiled water. move the sticky keys up and down until they work smoothly again. take the device out of the water, put it on the heating and let it dry for a few hours/days. i used a blow-dryer to remove the last drops - but watch that the mouse doesn't get too hot. done - good as new...

I have a gateway keyboard ku-0833 and its working fine but I spilt a little coffee on it and a few of the keys are stiff to push. Is there a way I can clean it, tried using cotton swabs around the keys but...

You can pry out the keys using a butter knife and use rubbing alcohol to clean the underneath.

if the coffee got into the connectors you might be out of luck.

**THE FOLLOWING IS NOT RECOMMENDED**
When i spilt mt dew on my keyboard i took out the battery let it decharge for 5 minutes. I put it in a pan and poured rubbing alcohol on it and let it sit for 5 min. While it was sitting i swished the alcohol around a little bit so it could flow. took it out and let it dry for about 1-2 hours and it worked perfectly. this is orta used as a last resort

As for cleaning a laptop computer keybord, I would use a can for compressed air, q-tips, and soapy water. I would be careful about getting the laptop too wet as water can seep into the computer. Hope this helps!!

If this was helpful please rate with a 4 thumbs up!! Thanks for using fixya.com!!

Spilt water on mouse. Now red light on

if the mouse is working properly then you might just want to leave it, is it a rechargable mouse?

If you do want to try and fix it , you could try carefully opening it, you should not need to use much if any force and then make sure everything inside is dry, using a hairdryer on low heat can be useful.

there is a chance the water has damaged the electronics of the mouse and so you might not be able to fix the problem.

If you spill drinks on a keyboard, something is bound to break, and apparantly only the O key did... The only way to fix it is to get a new keyboard, I'm sorry. I hope this helps, Yannick.
