Question about NetGear : WG111 54 Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter, RETAIL (DSNGWG111)

1 Answer

Hello, I have a WN111v2 Netgear Rangemax USB adapter. I ran the setup & installation. I FINALLY got confirmation that "I'm connected to the internet" but when I go to google, or any other webpage, it tells me "page not found." What am I doing wrong? Can you help?

So all I need to do is uninstall the entire program, and re-install? I do have the CD to install the program again on my laptop, so do I need to download something from Netgears website too? And I guess my problem is, I can't get on any website to download anything.

Any help / Suggestions is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

  • Yes you need to download driver which is compatible with your operating system.
    Then it will work fine.

Ok, I'm sorry (you are probably getting frustrated with me!) I'm not very "computer language literate." What do you mean by "driver?" This is what I have to get from Netgear's website?

  • Driver means it is software to run device with computer .
You can install driver from disk which is comes with netgear when you bought it.
If you haven't driver disk then download driver from web sites.

Ok, I tried everything you suggested (uninstalling and re-installing) and I'm still having the same problem. It says "page not found" and gives me all these options to change browser settings, or try to re-type in the correct web address etc.

    any other suggestions?

  • It means your wireless network adapter is not able to connect web server for that you need to contact your internet service provider then they fix the problem of connection from your usb adapter to web server.

Hello antonhs2000,

I assume you went through the direct instructions located HERE. It does not suggest a restart anywhere on the page, so I would suggest doing that. I have always made it a habit to restart my computer after uninstalling drivers and installing drivers as well just to be safe.
