I HAVE A D505 LATITUDE, LIKE TWO WEEKS AGO I TURNED OF MY COMPUTER NORMALLY, THE NEXT DAY I TURN IT BACK ON AND ITS WENT TO SAVE MODE, SO I CHECK THE INSTRUCTION TO GET OUT I PRESSED START NORMALLY DIDN'T WORK, I PRESS LAST KNOWN CONFIGURATION AND DIDN'T WORK. HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM WITHOUT REMOVING THE HARD DRIVE TO FIX IT IN ANOTHER COMPUTER?

try check disk on it.

Safe mode usually occurs when the Shut down process was abnormal.

Safe mode starts the computer with minimal use of drivers.

For XP, there should be a reboot normally option.
This should boot the computer back in normal mode.

HellaNice is correct, check for errors. Could be corrupt files.
