Question about Canon PowerShot SD790 IS/ IXUS 90 IS Digital Camera
Remove the SD card and it so that the clipped corner is at the top right, being careful not to touch the electrical contacts.
On the left edge of the card is a small sliding lock switch and it's easy to accidentally set it the the lock position. Fully forward (toward the contacts) is unlocked and fully rearward is locked. If the switch appears to be in the unlocked position already, then slide it fully back to locked and then fully forward to unlocked again.
If this doesn't work then try a new SD or SDHC memory card.

Check the slide switch on the side of the card. It should be in the unlocked position.
