Right click anywhere on desktop, click view. you should have the show desktop icons checked. if not, just click on it to check. there you will see the desktop icons. hope it helps.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to make d800 recognise second moniter

plug your monitor then right click on desktop, go down to screen rez in the menu.
click on the detect tab, click on monitor 2 so it highlights then in the multiple displays drop down box select (Extend these displays)

if it doesn't pick the monitor up at all, then your graphic drivers are missing.
go to control panel,in the top right change the icon size to "large icons" then select (device manager) their should not be any yellow triangles with " ! " in them, if their is right click on them & up date driver, select the top option " search internet for driver".
if no joy then go to .......dell.com & put your service tag in off the sticker on the base of the machine.
good look.

When my computer is on the moniter is blank.

The monitor only has one cable and it is keyed to fit one way. They are always located under the top bezel. Should have roughly 20 pins and the wire will flow up into the display. If the screen is very very dim (look carefully) then your inverter board is most likely bad these run 40-120 dollars depending on model and are located along the bottom edge of the display itself. If the screen is completely black, try plugging an external monitor into your laptop (make sure you try toggling the display mode) [typically Fn + F7 or whichever says LCD or has a monitor icon.] If the external monitor works then your screen is most likely the problem and will need to be replaced. If the monitor does not work, the motherboard needs to be replaced. You will be hard pressed to find any schematics for motherboards but you could dis assembly the the laptop and easily check for descended capacitors, burns and the light though most of the time I doubt you will be able to see the damage.
Best of Luck

Aadab: when the moniter ON after few second the moniter is does not give display and when we on and off the moniter so then the picture displayed why this problem is occure.how i recover it.

That is because the settings on the power are set for the monitor to go to sleep if not in use.. It is a very quick and easy fix.. Just right click anywhere on the desktop that doesn't have any icons, the display properties box will appear, then click on screen saver under monitor power click on power, there you could set the monitor never to turn off... Let me know if this solved the problem and good luck..

I hve format my pc wid da xp cd and i m getting problem wid my moniter screen .it shows all the icon very large and not adjust from display properties. how can i get icon by normal resolution.

You must have got a Cd along with the motherboard. Please use it to load display drivers. You can not change the display settings because your display drivers are missing. Install them and then the display will become alright.

Vertical Vs Horizontial display, no VGA rotate icon to change it

On some systems I have seen "Ctrl, Alt + arrow" change the orientation. That works on the XP's at work, but not here at home. But it's worth a try.
