Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: need to program in 1-10 frequency...is this possible ?

Okay, I'm going to attempt to assist you with this. If your TalkAbout 200 has a screen showing your channel number and a smaller number in the upper right. It is possible your radio could be programmed to match another TalkAbout or FRS (family radio service) style radio. I cannot find an owners manual in English for the T200. Here is one you can translate from Czech http://www.cbradio.cz/doc/Motorola/PMR%20TA200/manual.pdf (Simply copy and paste this into a google search with the word translate in front of it.) It will give you the instructions for reprogramming your "interference eliminator code", aka CTCSS. Your radio has 14 built in frequencies. From your explanation I would assume you need your BIG number to be 1, and your small number to be 10.

If your TalkAbout does not have a screen, you will not be able to do the CTCSS #10. It is a CSQ model only.

Sidenote: If the other radios you are wanting to talk to are NOT FRS-type or TalkAbout radios, your radio will not match them.

There are several ways:
1) Customer Programming Software (CPS)*
Allows users to perform various programming
functions. Plus, the CPS software provides access
to new features such as Radio Reporting to
manage cloning and radio profiles, Manager Lock,
Power Select, and Time-Out Timers.
* CPS is available as an optional accessory, including required USB cable.
2) Easy Cloning
Quickly copy settings from radio to radio with
either the Radio-to-Radio Cloning Cable or the
Multi-Unit Charger accessories. (Both sold
separately.)

You should be able to purchase any of this software/equipment from your retailer where you purchased the radio.

Best regards.

One or both of your radios have PL ( aka private line, tone code, interference eliminators) activated. Here is a link to a link which contains the XTN446 manual(s). Click on the "support" tab to see the list: http://www.motorola.com/Business/XU-EN/Business+Product+and+Services/Unlicensed+Two+Way+Business+Radios/XTR446_XU-EN

First I would try setting the radio's CODE to off (usually zero) and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, you'll either need to experiment, or find a user guide for the Kenwood. (You could try posting in the Kenwood forum.)

Best regards.

How do i program my Kenwood PKT-23 and my Motorola CLS1410 to work together?, Thanks

I suggest getting both manuals out and check the frequencies you want to work. Match the FREQUENCY numbers (such as 464.500) not channel numbers. Then you must match the Tones, called DPL or QT. This must be completed on each channel you want to work. It is tedious at times and we charge our customers to set them up. Contact the place you purchased the radios from. They may have a cross reference guide. We used to have to make the guides ourselves, but have nothing on Kenwood radios. It just takes time. Good luck!

We have a number of Motorola XTN446 two way radios. One of them seems to have lost some of its range. It is fully charged and can be heard from short distances. Can you help.

1) Check your frequency and code. It is possible someone has changed the frequency to an adjacent frequency and they are communicating only due to being in a close proximity. Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.123radios.com/manuals/xtnmanual.pdf

2) Check your battery. A old or defective battery can exibit this type of problem. Trade the battery with a known good radio and see if the problem still exists, or moves to the other radio.

3) Check your antennas for damage or missing end caps. A bad antenna can cause this type of issue, even if simply by getting corrosion on the coils from a missing cap.

4) If all the above check out fine, your radio is in need of repair. Flat rate repair on this style unit is currently around $69.

Best regards.

Radios will not trasmit

The Motorola T-6510 uses FRS-GMRS frequencies the TK-3130 uses 2 UHF frequencies. Unless you had the radio custom programmed to match the GMRS frequencies it will not work.

Compatability

The Kenwood TK-3200LU15 is the 2Watt replacment model for the TK-3101. the TK-3202 or TK-3203 are 4 watt models that can be used. Although, they have to be programmed with the frequencies and codes you are using. The TK3101 came with defualt GMRS/FRS frequencies.

Motorola and Kenwood compatibility....

Hello!! First of all, any radio in the right frequency will work with any other, to work just need the following features: -Frequency, 154.700 which is correct as you said. - the Squelch code, this could be PL or DPL. The XV2100 has a table of codes that you can try, as you dont know this code form the Kenwood, you will need to check one by one. If you have the chance to send the Kenwood to some to "Read" the radio parameters( freq.,Code, ETc) you can look those parameters on the XV. Hope this can help, any comments neto-rola@hotmail.com Good Luck

Tone on channels 5-15

I have worked on the TK 3101's and that tone is when the channel does not have a frequency.
It is a PC programmable radio. I assume you purchased the radio used and the previous owner had channels 5-15 "blank"
I can program it for you if you needed.
