The password exists to protect you, should a thief be in possession of your computer. Find the original sales-receipt, to prove that you are the original owner, and contact the manufacturer's "technical support" department.

Or, if your computer is a "desktop" computer:

    1. turn the computer off

    2. disconnect the AC power

    3. open the case

    4. find a "BIOS reset" jumper

    5. move the jumper from its usual "1-2" position to the "2-3" position

    6. count to 5

    7. move the jumper back to the "1-2" position

    8. reconnect the AC power

    9. start the computer

It will now be using the "default BIOS settings", *WITHOUT* a BIOS-password.

Hi ,
You need to reset your CMOS.Open your CPU cover.and look for CMOS battery. Its a button cell. You have to remove that battery and on the machine and go into bios.It will remove your cmos password.
But if this thing not worke then find out CMOS reset jumper on your motherboard. It will be located somewhere near your CMOS battery.Just remove that jumper and connect to reset settings.and start your machine. It will remove your password.

I could not break the BIOS password. I forgot the password.

BIOS passwords can be reset in two ways:

1. using software 2. using hardware.

I would first try resetting using software, here are two software apps to reset or retrieve BIOS passwords.

!BIOS - is a PC BIOS toolkit offering password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore.
You can download it here:
http://www.syschat.com/download120.html

CmosPwd - Cmos password recovery tools
http://www.syschat.com/download121.html&act=down

You will need to create a bootable Dos, or Linux or NT cd in order to run them.

Good Luck!
