Small CD-ROM disks, or the 3.5-inch "floppy" ("stiffy") disks?

If your computer does not have an "internal" 3.5-inch drive, you can buy an "external" drive with a USB connection. Expensive!
Or, get a friend with an "internal" drive to copy the files (up to 1.4 Megabytes) and send the files to your E-mail ID.

We can not start any video games or movies,... we heard sound in the console,....like it is trying to read them but then in the main screen say open tray , like there are not disk in it. could you help us...

Your disk drive is going bad when it won't read any cd's, dvd's, or games it keeps saying open tray. There are different types of disk drives also, to determine yours go to llamma.com/xbox360/Xbox_360_ DVD_Comparison.htm (new disk drives normally range between $40-60) and if you choose to repair it yourself you'll need a small flathead & philips head screwdriver and a very small torq bit set to remove internal screws. It takes about 20 minutes if you know what your doing and youtube has a number of videos to walk you through it if you need them.

My 360 does not read disc, everytime i place disc in ,it says open tray

I fixed this for me today. I opened the tray, and took the disk out. Just inside in the middle there is a small disk that rotates. I just rotated it a little with my finger to get it moving. Once it started spinning the disk tray closed on its own. I then put a disk in and it started reading it. I guess the piece that moves the disk got stiff and just needed some assistance. Hope this helps.

Why does it read bad disk? i've tried two disks, that work perfectly on another DVD player. But reads as Bad disk on the GPX D2816

its the disk laser sensor is to sensetive that why it canot reads with an ordinary disk or a pirated disk or a disk that has a small scratch.

Adding ram

laptops usually have a small door on the bottom of the macine and there usually are 2 small memory bars. If yours does not have this then the location may be under the keyboard. If the latter is the case I recommend you take it to a professional to upgrade or replace.
