Hi Nicholas,
What OS are you using? I looked on the manufacturers site and some forums, here's what i found..
From Manufacturer:
Requires a personal computer with Windows XP (Professional, Home, or Media Center Edition)
If you're having trouble connecting it, Try holding the VOLUME BUTTON down for 3 seconds to make it discoverable.
If you have anymore info, just reply back and i'll try my best to help you out.
Please Rate if this helped you, and have a Great day!
Thanks,

Continuous traffic from windows computer thru Netgear wireles adaptor.

The traffic is generated by the applications and software that ran in the background...such as antivirus or any other software connected to the net ..even some players updates all the time or so ...probably the lack of some features makes the xp media to seam not to have traffic when on desktop only ..but the truth is they all have but it is depending on the settings and it is very small .pay attention when you make the install on software to not check the cases for reports being made automatically ..

I get a network adaptor missing error message when I try to conect to the internet

A few quick questions.

1) can you still connect to the internet despite the error?
2) what operating system are you running (Windows, Mac, Linux)
2a) what version, (e.g. windows xp, windows vista)
3) were you ever able to connect to the internet with this computer?

Thanks
Mike

System Freeze after WLI-CB-G54s is inserted

Restart your Compaq Evo N1020v laptop without the card inserted. Go into the BIOS (by hitting F10), change the UMA Frame Buffer Size from 32MB to 64MB (located in the Advanced menu), reboot and install the card drivers and insert thecard. This should fix the problem.
