Was the lines connected with the correct colours. Did you check on the wire continuity if in case it was shreaded within. Does the fan work after the lines were connected?
If there was no frosting after the compressor was switched did the frost/cooling appear within. If not you must check if the compressor is running low RPM chek the capacitor to the motor. Check onthe gas pressure.if there is no cooling at all.

Hi,
After fixing the fan, you may have to unplug the unit and then let it cool down before the compressor will start again...there is a thermal overload on the compressor that will need to reset....
It is possible though that the compressor got too hot a is ruined or that the start relay and capacitor are fried because of the fan stoppage. Let the unit cool down and them if the compressor will not start then check out these tips. They will give you more info on the compressor situation...

Then the two things are not necessarily related... if the compressor is running and you are not cooling then you must also have a leak in the refrigerant system and you will need to get a pro to place gauges on the system and check it...if you have a leak it will need to be found, fixed, and the system recharged...

Frigidaire AC window unit, model fam185r2a (18,500 BTU) only cools for a few minutes before it cycles off and just fan blows. Then a few min later cool air cycles back on. Is this a thermostat issue?

The window units normally have a sensor thats attached to the front of the indoor coil. This controls the thermostat. I usually pull this sensor away from the coil because it stops cooling before the room is cool. It is attached to the cold coil so it senses the coil temp, not the room temp. You can normally see it when you remove the air filter. Don't break it! It may be a wire or small copper tube

Frigidaire will not

The problem lies in the control board. Either a fan relay is stuck in the "on" position or the circuit controlling the relay is bad. A decent electronic tech or a new control board should fix the problem. Considering the value of the unit, it would be worth doing a troubleshoot and component-level repair if possible. If not, you can contact a local appliance parts house to order a new control board.

Frigidaire dryer blower fan keeps getting stuck.

Since you didn't leave a model number, I will have to give you a generic answer, instead of one with a part number of the most likely replacement part. Normlly the problem you discribe is a result of the blower motor bearing wearing out and letting the fan blades rub against the housing. And since the bearing is internal to the motor, you have to replace the entire motor.

I moved my refrigerator to vacum (Frigidaire model PLHT217TAK 2002) and since then the warm air stopped coming out from the front bottom vent. It also stopped making noise, it seems to want to start but...

the condenser fan motor is what blows the air around down there, pull out the machine remove the back bottom panel and you'll see the fan, check it to see if something is stuck in the fan blade keeping it from spinning,do this right away,if the fan isn't blowing you can cook your compressor,if something is wrong with the fan motor you can leave the bottom panel off and stick a regular fan back there to keep the compressor cool until you fix the fan motor.hope this helps

Side by side fridge not cooling, not making ice

if it seems like the evaporator is getting cold then your sealed system should appear to be ok. you need the evap fan to transfer cold air into fresh food section. if not turning u need to replace fan motor. make sure your not getting to much frost build up on the evap.
