There is a small 'engagement rod' that is needed and I hate to say this, but they do fall out if the unit is used on rough ground. Look under the unit also to make sure that the tires have free motion, ie.. free of grass, wound up twigs, anything that could block the turn of a wheel, that will halt the vehicle also.... Good luck.... If you were pleased with your answer, please remember to vote. Take care Guy :)

Look for the transaxel, this is what the technical term is, sorry about that..... This is what makes the unit go, locate this rod underneath from the axel to the motor, make sure it is tight and in place, if you need, I will scurry up a diagram, but the one I just saw, man you need to be from NASA to figure that one out, but I have NO problem digging.... Need to get you moving again! Guy :)

Everything works on the car but the starter wont engage and i just bought a new starter and battery

Take the starter back out but leave it connected. If it doesn't use a ground wire, make up a heavy wire and use that for ground.
When you hit the key, watch to see if the starter gear moves forward to engage an doesn't just spin. (it engages the flywheel when in place.) The engine isn't supposed to fire if it's not turning.

2008 wrangler, won't start and can't move gear shift.....new battery. Not long ago. 23,000 miles

With the truck not running, but the key on move the shift lever through the sequence - f the fuse blows you have a wire getting pinched by the shift mechanism. Trace the linkage and look for a scraped wire or squashed wire.
If it only happens when the engine is running a wire is rubbing on the engine or trans and look for the same - a scraped wire or squashed wire.

Shoprider power chair won't move and 8 Battery LED Lights are flashing

Code 8: Controller problem. Also, check to see if your gearbox levers are engaged - if you can roll the chair by hand the gearbox is not engaging the motors.

I have 97 Wrangler when running the battery gauge will drop to 0, if I continue to drive it will not start when i turn it off and resttart it. i have a new battery , the alternater is fine took it

It still sounds like an alternator issue when the vehicle is running you should be showing 14.4 volts going into the battery try a load on the system while checking this means turn everything on the blower the lights 4-ways the A/C everything then see if the charging system can keep up

I have a 95 jeep wrangler the 4 wheel drive will not engage into 4 high or 4 low when you put the shiftter into the postion if feels like it goes in but does not engage and the light does not turn on...

My Wrangler had the same problem, it ended up being a vaccum leak on the front axle shift motor. It is located in the middle of the front passemger side axle tube.

1991 jeep 4wd fuse

Check transfer case wiring, possible loose wiring/open circuit. If your other lights in dashboard work such brake light, seat belt lights, engine light than it is not a fuse. raise all for tires from the ground and engage the four wheel drive remember to have in neutral and put in gear either 4L or 4H and see if the wheels in front move.
