ice maker dumps ice cubes on floor of freezer when opening cube tray and also it dumps ice cubes by it self. they fall into basket then to floor causing slip hazard and blocking door closure. was told by ge that i have to turn of ice maker every couple of days for the next 10 years or however long it lasts. n v trotter

don't want to kill myself slipping on ice cubes
I have the same problem.

Same problem here. When you pull out the ice cube tray, about 4-5 ice cubes drop down in back & can slide out on to the floor. Cannot seem to prevent this from happening. Poorly designed ice cube tray??

Same here. We have a new PDS22 bottom-freezer. The ice bin is shallow and the ice cubes spill out onto the floor of freezer and kitchen when bin is opened.

We've been turning off the icemaker, but this is not a good long-term solution.

Can you Help with these Refrigerators problems?
