Production date should not be the basis of a warranty but the date of purchase. It's the problem of the reseller if they have included in the unit an old stock.

Hard disk failure

Check if your hard drive is still in warranty period so you could ask for replacement from the manufacturer. Otherwise, simply buy a new hard drive and move all your data from the old one to the new drive.

SMART always predicts correct hard drive status and probably this time, you need to change it ASAP.

Hope it helps!!

Sony bravia kdl52xbr2 problem

hi,hoping that the cable connections are right(check the cable connections once again)..... Sounds like you may have a problem with the video driver boards? I would call up the store where you bought it and ask for a new set or service on this one.
More than likely this is a bad display (lcd screen) the drivers in the lcd display have some problem...... the tv is just a month old so you are still under the warranty period....... just contact the sony outluet where you purchased or the manufacturer for servicing of tv

Disk error failure for hp presario sr1910nx. how can I fix this? I brought a new hard drive but I received the same disk boot failure. I do not have the system recover CD.

If possible it will be good if you can get help from the HP service centre.. or call the service call centre. Check on website for information of the nearest centre and make an appointment .
You can also send it over after consultation. I recommend this to save money/time on unnecessary purchase without a confirmation and then getting sttuck when we want material( software) from HP.
So decide on my advice.

I am facing problem with my samsung hard disk it gives error of s.m.a.r.t command failed and hard disk is in warranty period

The SMART monitoring software analyzes information from the drive to determine if some component is not functioning within spec. The system is not 100% accurate and often failures are detected when there is no failure. However, if your drive is in warranty and you wish to avoid data loss from a failure you will want to backup your data ASAP.

If the drive is within its warranty period you should start making arrangements to RMA the drive and receive a replacement.

After you have backed up data that you can not recover elsewhere contact the drive manufacturer or the store where you bought it, if it is within the return period, to obtain an RMA number and the required information for return

If the SMART error is preventing you from booting the computer or using the drive you can disable SMART monitoring within the bios. This will eliminate the monitoring which will eliminate the error message.

External hard disk not being detected by computer

Dear,
Now it is clear that your system is of good configuration and the fault was occurred due to removing of power supply directly. Do one thing check the same drive on another pc with good configuration. If same thing will happen, then you can visit your nearest service centre but remember it should be in warranty period.

Thanks and regards,
Rakesh Kumar

It looks more like hard disk failure.

If your PC is still within the waranty period, kindly contact your PC vendor to fix the problem for you.

If the warranty period has already expired, please switch off your PC and remove all power sources and open up your CPU and check if the hard disk cables and the power supply is fine. Also check if there is any loose connection.

This should fix the problem, else please provide more details.

Likely the drive has failed. First check the cabling, and settings in BIOS. Is the drive being detected by BIOS during bootup? Next see if Samsung has a drive diagnostics program which can be downloaded and run. This will usually tell you what is wrong with the drive, if anything.

You can do the process of elimination- Install a known good drive in your computer, take the suspect drive and install it in a spare or a friend's machine.

If it is bad, replacement is required. Any data on it is probably toast unless you wish to employ the expensive services of a data recovery business.
