Hi.
If the detergent draw is not dispersing, that often means that there is blockage in the line connected to the detergent drawer.
Try using a kettle to pour hot water mixed with citric acid in the detergent drawer, that may do the job. You could also use vinegar, but later the washer will be smelly for a while, get dried citric acid at the grocery. Be careful while handling the hot water.
About energy saving, if the appliance is 12 years old, rating will be B or at most C. If possible it would be better replacing the washer with a new A rating appliance.
B rating is 3 stars, C rating is two stars, letter rating is used in UK.
You can find exact rating in stars using this page.
Hi.
The Whirlpool WF665 was on sale until recently, some seller may still have it in stock. Model was released yr 2002, then it is not 12 years old, but at most 8 yrs old. Energy rating is three stars (B). Here specs.
Plese do not forget to accept the solution, feedback is important for us.Thanks.
Ginko.

Hi Ginko Thanks for your answer but not sure what B rating means as more familiar with star ratings so wondering what B might be in the latter rating scale. thanks Viv
