Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers
Remove and clean drain well.
Move the appliance and check the drain hose at the back, ensure it is not kinked or blocked.
If that does not help, then there is a fault. Providing that there is no blockage, faulty parts that may cause the problem are pressure switch stopping the pump too early or pump not switching to drain.
Pressure switch gets usually replaced. You can try first blowing into switch hose or cleaning it. Pump is tested by energizing it.
As first step call the service number that you find on the owner manual.

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.
