Try pressing the down button followed by the power button. the idea is this unlocks "reserve battery" so the player can tell you what the problem is.

SOURCE: its dead with no special reason

Here is information I used from another user of this product who had this issue

Here is a fix I got from Sandisk support:

Let's try this: take the battery out of the player and wait for a full 5 minutes. While the battery is out, please hold the power-on button for 10 seconds. After that, connect it to your computer1.gif (without the battery). Does it work when it's connected to the computer?

Regardless of that result, disconnect it from the computer, then put a brand new alkaline battery back in, and see if it will turn on.

Now, another thing I found that worked once, was to remove the battery, hold the power button for 5 seconds, then replace battery. The unit powered up after that.

I was driving and the car just dead the rmps droped really fast then just died out. the wouldnt turn over. it has a spark its sucking air the starters clicking everything sounds fine but it wont start....

Unfortunately this is indicative of a failed alternator. When teh vehicle is started teh battery provides teh initial power to turn over the starter and then it stops and allows teh alternator to provide the power required to keep teh engine running (fire needed requires spark, air, and fuel) When an alternator dies the battery has a RCA or reserver capacity amps that indicate how long the car will run on batter power only. Since you indicated a sudden decrease in the car and a dead conditions with failure to turn over then it leans towards the bad alternator. Depending on your mechanical ability you can remove the alternator and have it checked at the local aprt store. Try jumping the car and then ave someone follow you to the part store.. yo uwill like have to rejump it several times... if you arent comfortable removing alternator. If your battery has been running the car on RCA than having input back into it from teh alternator then its likely it is burned out... So replacement of alternator and battery are recommended.

I have a nokia 5300 and all of a sudden when i turn on the phone the screen freezes and shuts off and turns back on but i can't get to my messages or anything that is saved on the phone. If i talk on the...

Hi there.. I believe that you are one of those very active and busy type people who are always on the move. The general reason I believe that you fone is behaving this way is because you do not allow your fone to charge properly, therefore limiting the lifespan of the battery.

My advice: -try and drain you battery dead until you are unable to turn it on at all.
- secondly, charge your fone till it says fully charged.
-thirdly, when using your fone you can either 1). repeat the previous steps and this time drain it by playin music or 2). try using it with caution..
-lastly, next time you decide to charge your fone make sure it is dead/off till you charge it.It should last you a good 2days if all goes well.

These steps can help you prolong the life of your battery and save you $50 to buy a new one..

It seems i have over charged my sand disk player so right now when i switch it on it says battery too slow and then it shut down it self, please i need a help to this problem .

Hi teddyabout,

There are few reasons your SanDisk Player is acting up. Here are some things to try out.

Make sure the HOLD switch is turned off before you power up your player. This will sometimes cause errors in booting.

If that doesn't work you can try a soft-reset by holding the power button down for 15 seconds then try turning the player on normally again.

Finally, if you are brave enough, you can take the battery out of the player to force a complete reset of the player and battery. This is done by taking the four screws out of the back of the player and removing the battery. After 30 seconds, put the battery back (be sure the it is seated properly) and replace the screws.

Good luck

Battery for Compac Armada M700

Hello Felcen:

It could be just a coincidence...but lets try a few things...

Remove the battery and unplug from the wall. Hold the power button on...and then plug back into power...after 8 seconds release the power button. Once your computer boots to desktop...shut down...and replace the battery.

Changing the harddrive should have anything to do with teh battery...

See if your battery starts charging after this trick.

Let me know and good luck my friend.
