Question about SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) MP3 Player (SDMX7-2048)
HI, i was using my SanDisk yestrday and suddenly it shut off. I replaced teh batteries just to make sure but it wont work. I also tried connecting the the USB but my PC wont show any connection to the SanDisk. I fond no reason for it to simply "die". (kept it in a safe place). Thanx Elly i connected it to the computer
Try pressing the down button followed by the power button. the idea is this unlocks "reserve battery" so the player can tell you what the problem is.

SOURCE: its dead with no special reason
Here is information I used from another user of this product who had this issue
Here is a fix I got from Sandisk support:
Let's try this: take the battery out of the player and wait for a full 5 minutes. While the battery is out, please hold the power-on button for 10 seconds. After that, connect it to your computer (without the battery). Does it work when it's connected to the computer?
Regardless of that result, disconnect it from the computer, then put a brand new alkaline battery back in, and see if it will turn on.
Now, another thing I found that worked once, was to remove the battery, hold the power button for 5 seconds, then replace battery. The unit powered up after that.
