Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver
They were doing software upgrades. I believe that it was working again. I just did it on my TomTom XL.

If you perform an update for your GPS, it will erase all of the data that were recently saved. Because it's reformatting your Tom Tom and updating the firmware and features.
There could be an issue with the "Backup and restore" feature of Tom Tom, because it's not working as it should be. DO NOT use the backup until the issue is resolved.
The best thing that I would advise is NOT to perform a weekly GPS fix, because time will come that the GPS will suddenly stop working.
Wait until the Backup issue is fixed, then perform a GPS fix once every two months and not weekly.
Thank you and good luck!
