I have a Dolphin Follett PHD+ scanner. I did not have it set up all year, and when I plugged it in, it didn't work. If the scanner is in the dock, I get a signal and get to the screen where it says "You have a log do you wish to ship it out?" No matter which button I hit nothing happens. When I take it out of the dock, I lose all contact - the screen is dead. I bought a new battery, charged it all night, and I still have the same issue this morning. I have tried rebooting it. It does sometimes say configsys driver could not be loaded. Do I need to reload the setup software on my CPU? I am using a different one than I used in the past. Or is that a totally different problem?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

So, I had a large scan.log file which I would have lost if I followed the instructions above. Instead hold the shift, on scan and bksp buttons simultaneously. The device will reboot with your file still functional!
One of the problems I had with my scanner is that the USB port that I had the scanner in when bad. My scanner cable was a little short and it put extra pressure on the port. After time some of the connections in the port broke. To fix the problem I had to replace the USB card in the system.
So I would recommend that you tryu the scanner on another computer and/or another USB controller to see if it works properly. If it does you know that it is the USB port. If it does not then I would look at the cable of the scanner.
Let me know if you have any more problems or questions
i think i can help u with this, if u unscrew the unit and carefully unhook ur the cables in side then will see two Philips screws, unscrew them and unhook the display cable its on the side now gently try to take the board out and put it back on then hook the display cable back and screw the board back and for the scanning unhook and re hook ur scan cable that will make it work,i hope that will solve ur problem
You need to do a system hardware reset. Do this by remove battery and find small pin hole just below the battery terminal single pin side. It may be covered over by black sticky pad. Get paper clip wire and put through hole to you feel small click. Hold down for 10 sec and then put battery back in to see the unit run a rebooting procress. Hope this fix it
Depending on the operating system, the scanner driver may not be there. If your device is Win CE, there is no scanner driver in the O/S. If it is WinMobile, there is. You may have to have your dealer sell you a utility like DataWedge or ScanWedge - there are others as well. Contact your dealer or the Honeywell Help Desk.
