Password? I have the Satllite Pro 4600 laptop and for some reason the Windows log on box continues to appear each time I restart or turn my laptop. This box has a User name of: Administrator and it's asking me for a password that I know nothing about. How do I get pass this so that I can enter into the system and work?

Hi,

Did you or anyone else setup the aministrator account?
The only solution to get the password is use hiren's boot cd.It is a bootable software which you have to write it on the disc first and then boot with it.CLICK HERE to download it.
It is a rar file so to open it up you will need winrar. Please CLICK HERE to download it first.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution

Have you tried just pressing the "enter" key, will it let you pass or does it need a password?

If you are able to get in...

Once in go to Start>Control Panel>User Accounts

Click on the user count that has the password and you can delete any password from here.

If you are not able to get in by just pressing enter, please let me know and we can try to get past it, thanks

How do I reset a password that comes on as soon as I turn on my Samsung sens150 laptop...black screen blue box enter password that's all I see

Well, you mean reset windows password in safe mode?

The process as below:
First, restart your computer, keep pressing F8 before Windows loads, then select safe mode and enter, you will see the default administrator account appears in the login screen, click that account and enter your system, go to control panel to change your other account password. When it finishes, restart the computer, log in the related account with the newly created password.

If the method above can't help you ,try to use the Windows Password Reset ,it is very easy and safe.

Hi.i cannot get to my laptop because i forgot entry password

You can salvage your old user account by logging on as the "Administrator" user. Once you're logged in as the admin, you can reset your old user password. The Administrator user (by default) is similar to a "superuser" and has the highest access level to reset any user password. If you don't know what your Administrator password is, you can reset that by rebooting into Safe Mode.
The best option here is to reset your account password. You can do this using either 1 of the 2 methods suggested by Microsoft Knowledge Base article #321305. In my opinion, the second method described on this page is most likely the easiest route: Reboot Windows in Safe Mode. Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK: control userpasswords2 Click the user account that you forgot the password for, and then click Reset Password. Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and then click OK. Good luck! Side note: To access Safe Mode, Click Start -> Shutdown (or Turn Off), and choose 'Restart'. Once the computer restarts, press F8 repeatedly on the keyboard until a Boot Menu appear (this *must* be done before the Windows boot screen appears). Finally, choose to boot Windows in Safe Mode and press Enter on the keyboard.

You can reset a lost or "forgot Windows password" with 4 methods below:
1. Another valid administrator account which can normally log on.
2. A password reset disk or a repair disc, which is created in advance ( before you lost password ).
3. Third-party software to create a bootable password reset CD/DVD or USB, like "Windows Password Breaker".
4. Re-install. Will lose data.

How do i reset my password on my hp mini 110. someone changed it and we can't get back in

assuming you have xp and there's no admin password try the following:

1. turn off your laptop
2. restart your laptop and before win xp logo comes on press f8 several times until you get into a black screen with the advance start up options, if you see the xp logo, restart your computer and try again.
3. select with the arrow safe mode and press enter to start your computer in safe mode.
4. before you get into windows will be prompted to select an account, if you had an account, should see your account and an administrator account. select the administrator account to log in.
5. Once in windows under the administrator account proceed to reset your password as follows:.
  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. Type control userpasswords2, and then click OK.
  3. On the Users tab, click the name of the user account that you want to reset the password for, and then click Reset Password.
  4. Type a new password in the New password box, and then type the password again in the Confirm new password box, and then click OK.
  5. Restart the computer, and then try to log on to Windows XP again.
I hope that helps!
