Question about Televison & Video
My one and half year old magnavox 42mf230a had freezed frame, then black screen with sound, then smoked from right back side. It was very hot after unpluged. Can we still repair it?
It should be repairable, however I would suspect the cost to be about half what a new one would be. A circuit board plus labor can easily approach $500. If you're lucky and it was just a few easily replaced components like capacitors venting, then you could possibly get off with a few hundred less.
