Just don't worry. Instead of lock code enter the security code. The defaults are 1234.

How do i reset my forgotten password for samsung behold

If you can enter *2767*3855# without the simcard then that's the way to unlock and reset it but it will delete all information stored on the phone. Unfortunately, if you won't be able to enter the strings of command completely, then there's no other way to unlock it but to send the phone for repair to Samsung service center.

PASSWORD

By default the PW for the security settings is the Last 4 Digits of your phone number. If you changed it then the only possible way to get in is to send the phone for repairs which is possibly a OOW charge.
