Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
Hi this is what that error code refers to:
E73: I/O Hardware Error - Couldn't calibrate HSIO Bus from edram: this error is likely caused by a problem with the Ethernet port or supporting control devices
this could mean a chip on the board has over heated and failed and this will need soldering to get fixed.
how ever try the following first
1 switch the xbox off and leave it off for at least an hour
2 remove all leads from the xbox and the back of telly also remove hard drive and anything else plugged into it
3 check the air vents on the xbox and make sure their is no dust build up, clean if needed with vac
4 make sure the xbox is not being used on top of carpet or dvd or sky box
5 make sure xbox is not in confined space it needs to have air circulating around it.
now plug all the leads back in and switch it on without a game in and see if you get the same error code or not try switching it on without any internet connection and see if you still get the code.
if after doing the above it still plays up then this will need work doing to it as the chances are its over heated
check if you have any warranty left and if you do take it back adn get it exchanged.
if your warranty is out then your going to need to get someone to look at it for you.
i charge about 25pound to fix these plus parts so it comes to about 30quid so you need to look around and see if you can find someone who will fix this for you.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Tips for a great answer:
If you get the Xbox 360 1 red light message, it means that the problem is either with the DVD drive, or with the hard drive.
Fortunately, the Xbox 360 1 red light message is not something that you should worry about. In order to identify which of the two drives the Xbox 360 1 red light messages is referring to, just look the code number that the screen displays. DVD drive errors are identified with the codes E64, E65 and E66, whereas hard drive errors are identified with codes E67, E69 and E79.
Once you identify which error the Xbox 360 1 red light message is pointing to, fixing it is really easy. The guide available at Fix-xbox360.info will tell you what to do in each case, as well as what to do in case you get any of the other Xbox 360 lights messages. Check it out.
