You can use any brand of compressor oil from the hardware store, it is all nearly the same. If you can find it, the Senco oil is very good quality, also the Campbell Hausfield oil is fine and less expensive. Only point is make sure you get the compressor oil and not the tool oil as it is not the same.

Hi We're using Kyocera Mita KM-2560. Unfortunately someone in our office was able to change login settings through device internal web interface. When I turn on the machine it asks username and password....

try Admin on both username and password ( A caps).
Also try 3000 on both or 6000 on both. try to select the system menu button and type the username and password there.

I recently bought a second hand pony garden tiller and want to check and change oil in the tiller. Serial #496063 Can you tell me where to check the oil and how to change or add oil???

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. You did not mention engine size but most of the "Pony" Tillers had a 250 cc Briggs and Stratton engine.

The owners manual is here::
http://www.troybilt.com/wcsstore/TroyBiltUS-CAS/Attachment/ownersManuals/tillers/769-03556.pdf

If you download the manual on page 23 figure 7-6 you will see the WHITE oil cap on the right side of the engine just forward of the belt. Unscrew that by placing a screwdriver across the 2 raised tabs IF you can not get it loose with your fingers. There is a dip stick with oil level indicators on it inside the engine.

Just forward of the dip stick in figure 7 - 6 there is a rectangular / 4 sided plug. That is the oil drain port. Changing the oil is a matter of removing the plug and waiting until all the oil had drained and then reinstalling the plug.

Oil is added via the dip stick port. (White 2 tab cap behind the oil drain plug near the belt area)

Since I do not have your engine number I could not get your engine manual for you. The engine number is stamped on the Air Shroud of hte engine and will be in 3 parts. I believe this is your engine number but not 100 % sure: 150212-2560-B8

The parts and owners manual are on this page. ( you will need to downloand each one)
http://www.briggsandstratton.com/engines/support/operators-manuals.aspx?NTT=150212-2560-B8

Engine: http://www.briggsandstratton.com/document/index.aspx?doc=277040WST_E_LO.pdf

Engine parts:

Thanks for Choosing FixYa,

Kelly

I have a 2 hp 4 gallon twin stack mint craft air compressor. I need the oil cap/ breather plug and also need to no how much and what kind if oil to put in the compressor

30 weight Non Detergent Air Compressor Oil is what you should use, although any 30W Non-Detergent Oil would work. Quantity wouldn't be much since it's only 2 HP. As far as the breather plug/oil cap, you caould try FD & Sons Hardware @ 866-612-5454. They showed as being a Mincraft Distributor.

Pressure inside oil tankl

All air compressor will build pressure in the oil reservoir. This is caused by blow-by past the piston rings. The reason all compressors have this is due to the relatively slow rpm that the compressor crank is turning. Unlike a car's engine that is turning so fast the compressed gas doesn't have time to leak by the rings.
To deal with this problem air compressors have a special oil fill cap that alows the pressurized air to be vented out of the oil reservoir chamber.

There are three reasons that you are having this problem. The first is you have a clocked oil cap vent. Second is you have the wrong type of oil cap.
The third is the bad one. If the problem is unrelated to the oil cap then it means there is more blow-by then the vent cap can handle. This would indicate that you have worn or broken rings and/or worn cylinder wall.

If your compressor is not old (low hours), then take a close look at the cap. If it has more then 2000 hours then you will most likely need to rebuild the compressor, depending on the make and model.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Missing plug

On top of the motor. Are you sure it's on top of the motor or could you mean pump? There are two parts to a compressor electric or gas motor and the pump. Although the two are combine in small compressors they are still separate components.

You said it may be related to the oil plug correct?
Most compressors between 1/2 hp to 2hp come in two flavors. The first is oil less the second has an oil reservoir. For the latter the oil plug does double duty as the crankcase breather and the oil fill opening. If the opening where your missing nub was located leads down into the crank case it's most likely the oil cap. If that's the case then you need to replace it with a comparable oil breather cap. It can also be a real mess if you start a compressor without the breather in place.

So is your compressor oil less or oil lubricated type?

If yours is the former, oil less then you will need to include some information (make, model), about the compressor for any additional help.
So please respond back with that. Thanks.

I HAVE A MODEL 15T AND NEED TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF OIL AND CAP.

Contact an Ingersoll Rand service center. They will have the correct oil. It is quite expensive but, if you use the wrong oil, that's a lot more expensive. The cap is most likely just a pipe pplug, capable of withstanding the pressure.
