Check if there is a recall on this with your local ford dealer - it sounds familiar. Otherwise, take it to a local "auto electric" shop. Google that phrase with your city name and zip code. Something will usually come up. Most mechanics are not good at solving electrical problems.

if the disc was not installed in the plate fully and partly out in the front sometimes it gets stuck and u have to unscrew your dvd player andtake out the disc and it should work perfectly fine afterwards

There is a very small hole in front panel.
Use needle or something equal equipment - just push and the drive will open - Works with all CD's and DVD's

If the drive reads correctly the problem is a broken rubber band, which opens the slot.

CDs and DVD drives do not require a driver. If the drive appears in My Computer but cannot read discs, the laser may be dirty. In most laptops, the laser is expose when opening the tray. You should dab a cotton swab (Q-Tip) in some alcohol and gently wipe the laser, the allow it to dry.

If the drive does not appear at all in My Computer, this is an indication of probable hardware failure, either from a bad firmware flash or a damaged internal connection. You'll need to contact your manufacturer if the computer is under warranty to have it repaired.

hi i have sorted the problem i went on line of the make of the thomson freeview and their was other people with the same problem and they help me by reading their instrutions on their page now it is working .

on the left side of the dvd drive there is a small little hole which you can insert a paper clip etc to open the draw
push it in this will open the draw for you.

Could be the laser Try cleaning it and if not Try and get it repaired Unless you wan't to buy a new one

Don't have a solution. Cannot turn red lite off with remote or manual operation.
