Question about Computers & Internet
There is no way for two computers to have the same ip addresses. Try to check that laptop's ip address by clicking on START then type CMD on the search bar which will pull up command prompt then type "ipconfig" press ENTER it will give you lists of addresses like ip address, default gateway, etc...
Now, if the ip address shows 169.254.X.X it means that it is not getting any signal OR worse case scenario is, the network card is defective BUT!! if your computer is getting an ip address other than 169.254.X.X then it means that it just needs a little configuration...
