Hi the problem you are having could mean the laser lense needs cleaning or it could mean the dvd drive needs replacing all together,
check if you have any warranty left and if you do take it back if not try buying a lense cleaning cd from a computer hard ware store and play this in your ps3 and give it a try.
if after doing the above it still dont work then this could mean the dvd drive is faulty and needs replacing or it could be something worse such as the unit over heating.
i repair these for about 25 pound plus parts so you need to shop around and see what prices you can get on repair.
their is no guarantee the repair is going to solve the problem so you need to bare this in mind when paying someone to fix this for you.

Disk read error is an error you will get when the hard drive has problems. I would take it into a reputable show for repair. Often, a hard drive will fail and give you this message. It's possible the issue is virus related too, but when you get those types of messages; it's important to have a professional look at it.
