Try attaching an external monitor to the laptop & see if you could get any display on it. If this is successful, then you might have either a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board.
The LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp.

Why is Dell latitude E5400 backlight ok in BIOS but screen black upon start up

It sounds like if your screen stays lit fairly well during BIOS that is would be an issue with the Operating systems settings themselves. If you are using windows i would look for any options that may have something to do with display lightness darkness contrast anything really. Also see if you can hold the Fn key on your key board and locate a sun or light bulb with an up arrow beside it. While holding the Fn key press the light bulb or sun several times and see if that helps.

Black screen but i didnt hear any beeps

Dear frnd,
its looks like Operating system problem. some times its happens that you power on and its display nothing except a black screen. you need to re-install the os but before it you have to confirm that your display screen is working. for that check the display in dark place so that when you power on its screen going to slightly white if its happens than its screen is ok if its doesn't than you have to change display screen cable inside of the laptop.

Dark laptop screen inverter and lamp ok

It might be necessary to send it in to Acer for their technicians to look at it as they have parts there. The damage of the display panel many have damaged other parts as well I would suspect the ribbon cable that feeds the display from the main body section. Is power getting to the inverter? Look at the items you have not compared with the other unit such as a ribbon cable- what else is there?

I open my laptop and his screen gone white but why help me to solve this

Try the OEM or the Windows CD, it should boot from it or you will hear it trying, if you don't get it, try hitting F2 or F10, or F12 to get the BIOS screen. If you get any screen your LCD is OK. Most often a white screen doesn't mean the LCD is dead (that's dark - no color) Its usually stuck on loading the Operating System. My Mac does this often with the new OSX Lion Beta

My screen is too dark. I pressed ''video playback'' on the tool bar and now my screen is dark. Any help?

Hi there, please restart your laptop when its booting press F8 key . You will find few option asking for selection. Select that by using up/down arrow key. Select " Last know good configuration" & press Enter. Next page asking for selecting operating system, for example: windows vista or Windows XP etc. Just select the operating system & press Enter again. ( Hope your laptop showing only one operating system ). Your laptop will start normally. After the if you seen the screen dark then press FN+Right arrow in key board(>). When you press FN + ( < ) or ( >) key that's time its working for brightness controlling for screen. Now if all well then fine other wise please let me know .
Another suggestion is run your Acer driver DVD for installing Display drivers. When finish restart your laptop and watch whats going. If no success then format the Operating system & reinstall again.

Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

When switch in on laptop it goes screen dark why

I'm not really sure I understand.
You apparently are able to turn the laptop on.
How long before it goes dark?
If it goes dark right after the Windows splash screen, then I would suspect it's a video driver problem. Try starting it in safe mode to rule this out.
If the screen does not go dark in safe mode, you've located the problem. You'll have to uninstall any video card software and download the correct drivers.

Dark unreadable screen

If you see a dim image or flicking image on the LCD screen it means you have a backlight problem.
Connect an external monitor to the laptop and power it up, if you see a clear image on an external monitor, this means your video card is OK.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

Screen on Toshiba M35x S149 Laptop blank/flickers

Ok, from the beginning. Can you do a cold boot and get into the bios? (is there an image on the screen then)
Secondly, can you connect to an external monitor and see an image?
Did it do this only when it was heading in to hibernation? If so, it sounds like the power management needs some adjustment.
If there's no image on the external monitor, you may have a video/motherboard problem, or it still could be the operating system/power management.
It all depends on if you have video in bios.
Let me know.
Good luck
