External Compressor is working but unit inside not working. Sharp airconditioner. Filters cleaned.

Check the circuit breakers for the indoor fan. If you have power to the fan then you might have a bad capacitor or bad fan motor. Make the power is off and see if the fan rotates freely by hand. You can use a multimeter to check the capacitor and the fan motor. If it is not any of these you can look at the fan relay to see if it is working.

I have an airconditioner a Kelvinator KSR20C Split system

Your condensor fan motor has more than likely gone out. This fan should run at all times when the unit is on. Since the fan isn't working then the motor must have gone out.

Airconditioner stop working

Most common cause is that your A/C system is low on R134a and needs to be recharged. All A/C system has small leaks through O ring's ect. Once the pressure is to low in the system, the clutch will not operate to keep it from burning out. The R134a is mixed with compressor oil to keep the compressor cooled and from seizing up. You can buy a recharge kit with the gauge at Auto Zone or Wal mart for just under $50.00, That includes two cans of R134a and the hose with the gauge, just follow the instruction. If the A/C works after recharging and stop's working again within 2 weeks then there is a large leak that needs to be addressed before the next refill. Good luck and hope this helps, before you go through all that check the fuses. good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
