Hoover spin scrub leaks when I turn it off

There are a lot of places that it could be leaking. The most common is a valve under the hood.you will have to put water in it and watch and inspect to trace where it is leaking.

Water leaking from somewhere on my bissel quicksteamer model #1970

This is not an easy one for us to offer advice on because we cannot see it. There are a lot of places that can leak water and there are a lot of parts that can wear out. You need to check the hoses and connections on all the tanks and spray bars. At least you can get parts for it now: http://www.vacsite.com/en/bissell-parts-1/bissell-parts/1970-quicksteamer.html

Bissell 9500 ProHeat, Why is it leaking water from the dry air vent?

The only thing I have seen cause anything like this is a high suds level in the waste water container. Usually caused by using pre cleaners on spots on the fabric. Those pr-ecleaners, i.e. Resolve, etc. create a LOT of excess suds in the waste water that can be sucked up in places they shouldn't be.

Shampooer leaves spots

If the spots are NOT at the center of the unit - you may have washed the brush roll. Older style shampooer brush rolls could retain a lot of water and it is all dirty in there. NEVER wash the brush. Just after you are done - raise the nozzle and let it spin freely for 10-15 seconds. It will be clean most of the time.

If you already did or if you will absolutely have to do it in the future - do not soak it. Set it vertically somewhere so water could drain and leave it to dry.

Do not make sudden moves while shampooing so the water does not spill from the tray.

If you oiled Kirby some time or sprayed WD40 somewhere - maybe it is coming out now (do not oil Kirby - it does not need that type of maintenance)

Hope this helps

I have a Hoover Steamvac model #f5888-900. Recently, after finishing use, it leaks a lot of water from the bottom of the unit onto the recently cleaned carpets. Do you know what would cause this spewing...

Either the rod in the handle is holding and not releasing the resevoir asm, this where the tank sits on, is bad. So water is not being shut off completely when off.

Spotbot is leaking...

Mine constantly leaked as well but I found that if I remove the container will the solution in it after every use it doesn't leak anymore. I store my container (upright - nozzle face up) under the sink with my other cleaning products and when I need to use the machine I pull it back out, pop it in and clean.

Leaking

If the seal and plungers are ok(bottom of tank), then most likely have a crack on the bottom of the tank, lot of times it will be under the seals, breaks away and will like out.
