CHANGE RESOLUTION OF YOUR MONITOR. RIGHT CLICK ON EMPTY DESKTOP, SELECT property, SELECT display, AND resolution. INCREASE RESOLUTION TO 1600X1200 OR SIMILAR. PROBABLY IT IS SET NOW AT 800X600.

Enlarged icons and text

The following should get you back to normal:

  1. Click the "Start" button
  2. Click "Control Panel"
  3. Click "Display"
  4. Click the "Settings" tab on the top
  5. Near the bottom is a box that says "Screen Resolution" , to make the stuff on the screen smaller , slide the bar toward the right and hit apply. You may need to slide it over a couple of times to make the display look correct on your screen.

That should fix you right up!

Sounds like the display resolution has been lowered, just go in your control panel > Display > Settings, and set it at a higher setting.
