Clicking noise heard on start up and acceleration.

Hi Abner Clicking noise, if it goes with speed of engine and wasn't there before the valve train was adjusted. Take it back to be rechecked. If the valve train was adjusted to try and get rid of the clicking sound and it hasn't worked. The only thing you can do is get someone with technical knowledge to have a look at it. Unfortunately noises are somewhat impossible to diagnose unless you are standing at the vehicle. ( check engine oil level).
Blower motor one of four things (1) Poor electrical connection ( loose or slightly burnt connection to motor remove connector and check). repair or replace as necessary. (2) Something stopping the fan from turning (if pollen filter fitted above motor remove and with a mirror and torch check down inside on top of fan. (3) if a heater rheostat/resister is fitted in the location of the heater box this maybe faulty however when these fault it normally allows the fan to only work when you switch fan to maximum speed. (4) the fan itself is faulty . replace fan/motor. Good luck

Hi, I need some help please! I have a peugeot 406 2.1 td p reg. I've had to put a 1.9 bosh pump on it to bipass the imobiliser. does any one know what order the injection pipes go in. cheers ale

Hi Alex, The firing order is 1-3-4-2. When fitting the injector pump I hope you noticed the match marks for timing. When fitted and aligned the engine will be at TDC firing on one. To identify # 1 on the pump, connect the fuel supply and bleed air from the system and rotate the engine one and three quarter revolutions by hand, having someone watch which outlet ejects fuel when passing TDC completing the second rotation. That will indicate number one piston. Follow the firing order for the remaining three. Regards John

I bought a mgf vvc off a friend and she sed the head gasket had gone so i replaced gasket and had head skimed and put it all back togeather again but car try's to start but thats it it has spark b

The fuel pump incorporates a inertia switch,The switch is next to the ECM,you may have triggered, reset it by pressing the red top.If that doesnt do it the pressure regulator uses a spring diaghram modified by a vacuum signal, remove the vacuum signal (just to start)

hi errol, try loosening the highest hot hose clip,to vent any trapped air,(make sure the plastic bottle is full).
to test the fans, run a wire from the battery to the fan and if fans run then it could be the sensor or the relay.....relay cheapest.

Radiator fan

1. Low Radiator Fluid?
2. Vehicle is overheating to above-normal mark triggering the fan to be on.
3. Sticking or malfunctioning thermostat.
4. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch and/or the electrical connection is bad.

My experience based on your year (2001) aims towards #3 and #4 above.

Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.com!

Car over heating. tempature gauge fluxuates

Your overheating problems can have several possible causes.
1) Airlock in heating system - solution - bleed air from cooling system. Method is dependent on make/model of vehicle
2) Radiator blocked - solution - drain and flush radiator
3) Failed waterpump - solution - fit new waterpump
4) Engine thermostat stuck in closed position - solution - fit new thermostat
5) Electric cooling fan (if fitted) failing to operate - solution - check fan, fan operating switch, all wiring and connectors
6) Not enough coolant in system - solution - check and top up to required level. Also check all hoses for sign of leakage.
7) Faulty temperature gauge giving incorrect reading
