SOURCE: DUET Dryer M# GEW9200LQ0 - Not cuttinh on

coasty...I'm a believer in starting small and going bigger. First, turn off power at the breakers and then back on. You must do this on both sides of the line. If this resets everything, you're good. If not, check the rest of the wiring. Still no, then you're going to need that circuit board.

Problem: Push On Button, Press to Start. Click. Sensing. No Tumbling.

Solution: Called repairperson. Replaced Thermal Fuse (Part 3390719) and also suggested having venting system checked (ours vents through attic). Charged $198.00. This did not appear to be a problem that a layperson could fix, although a very handy person might be able to do it.

I had the same issue, pressed the End of Cycle button (held down for 3 seconds, it beeped and it reset). The button is cryptically labeled Hold 3 seconds for control unlock - works great now. Pain in the a$$ to figure out.

Whirlpool Dryer GEW9200L always at "Wet" step - skips "Sensing"

Hello. To test properly, the dryer must be put in diag mode--a key dance of pressing "more dry, less dry--more dry, less dry" within 5 seconds with the door closed and dryer off. All lights will be illuminated and "88" will be in the display. If you open the door and a tone is heard, along with seeing a software revision number in the display, this means that the moisture circuit is shorted. *If this does not happen*, then open the door and, using a wet cloth or finger, bridge the moisture sensor bars located on the filter holder(metal strips approx 1/2 apart and several inches long). If you do this and a tone is heard and the software revision number is seen, THE SENSOR PASSES THE TEST. If it doesn't, you're going to have to troubleshoot further with a voltage/ohm VOM meter, or better, call for service because, unless you've done this before and know what to expect, you are gonna be INVOLVED in disconnecting sensor wires and checking electrical resistances and so on. You'll have to remove the toe panel(bottom panel on front of unit) to access the sensor wires. To exit diag mode, simply unplug the dryer for about 30 seconds. One thing though, if there is a lot of lint build-up, the sensor bars could be shorted by a bunch of lint crammed between the contacts--have seen that one on occasion.

My kenmore elite he3 quit working model number DADT-ELE-2406024-EL54 do you know why?

The heating coil safety switch/fuse may have been activated if it got too hot in there. It is very common for escaped lint to finally build up where it should not be. The first thing is to learn how to remove the front of the machine and inspect for a build up of lint. Happens often over time.

Dryer will not start cycle

Hi-- none of the solutions I've read here are working. Same problem, dryer not starting, it says "Sensing..." and then "Wet" and does nothing. It worked fine on the last load, except I noticed it read 11 minutes for a very, very long time (I think it got stuck). New load? "Sensing..." etc.

Blinking AD

AD is auto dry you may need to clean the sensor or you may have a fauilty one ...Auto Dry Loads dried using the Towels, Heavy Duty, Normal, Perm Press, and Delicates cycles will dry automatically at the selected temperature to the desired dryness level. The dryer uses sensing bars to sense the moisture level of the load as it tumbles through heated air. Auto Dry cycles save time and energy and protect fabrics. The estimated drying time will be displayed for about 5 minutes, then the outside of the display will light up in a circular track to indicate the drying time is automatically being determined by the sensors. When the load has reached the selected dryness level, it will continue to tumble, unheated, during a Cool Down period. This helps reduce wrinkling and makes items easier to handle during unloading. The estimated Cool Down time will be displayed. Drying time varies depending on size and dampness of load and fabric type. If the load is too small or almost dry, the sensing bars may not detect enough moisture to continue the cycle and the cycle may end after a few minutes. Select a Timed Dry setting to dry such loads. Room temperature and humidity, type of installation and electrical voltage or gas pressure can also affect drying time. For cycle selection turn the knob on the front of the dryer control panel. The light will illuminate next to the cycle selected. The following is a brief description for what cycles should be chosen for certain items and materials to be dried.

Dryer wont turn on

Ours was doing the same thing you would hear a click and nothing but the sensing light. I found the thermal fuse to be blown Part #3392519. Easy to get to through the front cover under the load door. I went ahead and vacuumed and cleaned out the inside and vent tube.
