coasty...I'm a believer in starting small and going bigger. First, turn off power at the breakers and then back on. You must do this on both sides of the line. If this resets everything, you're good. If not, check the rest of the wiring. Still no, then you're going to need that circuit board.

Problem: Push On Button, Press to Start. Click. Sensing. No Tumbling.
Solution: Called repairperson. Replaced Thermal Fuse (Part 3390719) and also suggested having venting system checked (ours vents through attic). Charged $198.00. This did not appear to be a problem that a layperson could fix, although a very handy person might be able to do it.

I had the same issue, pressed the End of Cycle button (held down for 3 seconds, it beeped and it reset). The button is cryptically labeled Hold 3 seconds for control unlock - works great now. Pain in the a$$ to figure out.

well the sensing light will stay on till it feels wet clothes against it if you in auto dry mode it says it wont start without feeling wet clothes against the silver bars in the vent housing it says it will run in manuel mode even if it doesn't feel them pull the top off the dryer and on the right hand side is a tech service sheet in a plastic bag see what it says

I have a GEW9200LW0 whirlpool dryer, that displays 3E when I try and start the dryer. nothing happens,All i get is the 3E code.
