I need the throw distance this projector gives me but the image size at that distance needs to be smaller. Is there a lens or other option that will do this for me

  • omri_davies Sep 15, 2010

I checked it out but it doesn't tell me what model I need

I think I was helping you earlier, but just in case it was someone else, there is no optional lens for this model. Did you try contacting Dell?

Hi.
You can throw the image till 3.9ft. ~ 32.8ft.with normal lens itself. But you don't have any optional lens for standard 8\'X6\' image size. There is optional lens but you cant maintain the standard images size of 8\'X6\'.Because of the distance.

post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

Need to reduce size of projected image from Senario Torpedo Entertainment Projector. I do not have a user's manual. How can the size of the image be changed?

Many projectors have you twist the lens at the front of the unit (or have a separate adjustment near the front). This unit may not have the option, in which case you will need to adjust the image size by moving the projector closer to the screen.

Mitsubshi sl4su

THis is a very short throw even for a "short throw" lens. I would verify that this is the proper lens by its numbers and verify what you should be seeing by its tech specs (focal distance./image size to be expected)

I'm sorry, but the product cannot project the required size from the current distance from the screen,I tend to use a short throw lens projector for this.

Figures on barrel of lens when open ie 1:15.3 etc

Those are the magnification factors so 1:1 means the image on the camera sensor is the same size as the image in real life - often used in macro
On your lens, looking at images on line I think you have 1:8 at one end and 1:38 at the other So if you comapre the size of the image on the sensor, to the size in real life
  • 1:8 - real life will be 8x the size
  • 1:38 - real life wil be 38x the size

Lens Protection Size!!!

Get a CLA-1 lens tube. It screws into the camera body. The other end accepts 43mm accessories. Put on a 43-49mm step-up ring. Into that screw a 49mm UV filter. (The step-up ring is needed to separate the filter from the extended lens.) Leave the UV filter on at all times. Throw away the lens cap.
