Often this is due to the power adapter going defective. Try another power adapter (available cheap on eBay). If this model does not have an external power adapter, it is probably the voltage regulator or rectifier in the printer itself and would not be worth fixing.
Add some details.. Make sure your AC adapter is working fine.. Normally it has a LED which shows it's giving output...... If that is working you have Dead Printer Motherboard issue.. Which can be fixed if you have proper gadgets.
Try to unplug the power adapter at the back of the printer and check if the LED light is on. If not, try to plug in the power cord to another power outlet. If still the same problem, the power adapter is the culprit.
If the LED light is on, make sure to plug in the power adapter all the way in the printer.
I would try resetting the power supply. You can do this by unplugging the power adapter cable from the wall outlet. Unplug the other end from the printer. Unplug the power cable portion from the rectangular power adapter. You should be left with a power cord, a power adapter, and a printer; All three are not plugged into anything. Leave it this way for 30 secs, then retry the turn-on process after plugging the cords back into where they belong. Also, try plugging straight into a wall outlet, and not into a surge protector.
If this is not working still, double check the outlet in question by testing it with an appliance like a hair dryer or lamp.
Try to remove all sheets of paper. Then unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Leave the other end of the power cord attached to the power outlet in the wall. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging back the power adapter in the printer. When the printer's ready, load some papers and check if it's working fine now. Keep me posted by leaving a comment. Thanks.
If your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps:
Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet, and that it's properly connected to the power adapter. (To check if the wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.)
Make sure that the power adapter is properly connected to the power port on the back of the computer.
Disconnect all accessories that are plugged into the computer, such as a printer, hub, or iPod.
Reset the computer's PMU, SMC, or PRAM. Refer to the instructions for your model:
Try plugging a different power cord into the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power cord.
If the computer uses a power adapter, try connecting a different power adapter to the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power adapter. (Computers that use a power adapter include MacBook, MacBook Pro, iBooks, PowerBooks, Power Mac G4 Cube, and Mac mini.)
If you tried all of the steps above and the computer still won't turn on, contact Apple technical support (1-800-APL-CARE in the U.S.) or take your computer to the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using
