PLease reset the router in the back of the router is pen size hole. Place a item in there and hold it for 10 seconds. Then release. Then powercycle, as in turn off router and modem for 35 seconds and turn back on. Should work after that!

Does the power light blinks when you press the reset button?
If power light is blinking continuously then I think your router is not working and you need a new one.

My wrt54g router keeps on blinking it all started when i pressed on the cisco systems logo because the light was orange so i pressed it and it turned off and the power led started blinking and the wlan led...

The first step that we need to do here is to hard reset the router. At the back panel near the power, you can see the reset button... we need to press and hold it for about a minute..

(If the power light continuously blinking, we need to follow this step):
Step1: On the computer connected wired via the router, let's force card and set static IP on the computer.
(for windows XP)
> Go to control panel -- network connections -- right click local area connection and we can see properties. Click properties and let's go to configure. On that configure button, we now see advanced tab. Click advanced tab and choose link speed or duplex and value will be 10 MBPS half and click Ok.
> Right click again local area connection and click properties
> Highlight internet protocol tcp ip and go to properties. Once properties is open choose use the following IP address...
Please set IP to 192.168.1.5 / Subnet : 255.255.255.0 / Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
> After assigning the static IP please go to start - run - type cmd. On the blinking cursor type there ping(space)192.168.1.1 and press enter. If we are getting Request Timed Out, sad thing router is already defective. But if we are getting "Reply from...' then we need to update the firmware.

(After hard reset and router power light stays solid then we needs to reset up the router)

D-link error from broken upgrade

there should be a tiny hole in the back where you can fit a needle inside it, that will reset it to defaults.

WRT610n router power led light blinks and i cant

If the power light is blinking on the router , then it might not be working properly.
You will need to press the reset button on the back side of the router for 30 seconds. release it. unplug the power cable. plug it back in. wait for a minute and check if the power light is solid.
If not then try to reset the router again.
do the same thing and check if the power light is solid.

If the power light is solid then you will need to set up the router again.
If the power light is still blinking, then connect the computer to the router and check the IP address on the computer. If the IP address is 192.168.1.100 then try to open the set up page of the router and check the settings of the router.

I cant go back to defaults in my zyxel hs 100 w router, so i my conectivity is limited or nule what can i do??????

Hi there,

To perform a factory reset:

Power off the router,
Hold down the recessed reset button on the rear of the unit (keep it held down)
Power on the router with the reset button still pressed down.
You will notice all the LAN lights flash at the same time which will indicate that the router has reset - this takes up to 30 seconds.
When all the LAN lights do flash simultaneously you can let go of the reset button.

Your router is now reset.
The default IP address is "192.168.1.1" and the default password is "1234".

Now, do set the admin password again, other vice others can access your router and change the setup and set the password.

Regards
/Teis

Power indicator keep on blinking

hello!

blinking power light after firmware upgrade sometimes indicates that the upgrade is not sucessful or the firmware that you load is incorrect.

-- try to reset the router for 30secs and check if the power light is still blinking
-- if its still blinking check your pc's ip address while connected to the router
-- if the ip address of your pc is invalid (169.x.x.x.) turn to manually assign static ip address to your computer and check if you can ping your routers ip address
-- if you can ping the routers ip address, upload the correct firmware to your router
-- if you cant ping your routers ip address still, reset the router again and try to ping the routers ip address once again
-- try to change port and cables
-- if still unable to ping the routers ip address, chances are that the router might be defective now

2wire 2700 HG - Many problems and can't reset it!

you need to set up the 2 wire using an RJ45 ethernet cable and not wirelessly initially, and you need to set your ethernet lan adapter to obtain an ip address automatically and then type the default 192.168.1.254 in your browser to get in the settings and then set or enable dhcp, and also enable wireless as by default it is dissabled and check the the adsl light is lit

Some 2wire routers normally come with WPA-PSK security already set up with the passkey on a sticker on the side of the router, so that may be why it stays set when you reset it.

Check that your wireles adapter is using the same type of security when you enter the passkey when wirelessly connecting.
