Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

When you hit the power button, sometime it lights up just for a second and then cuts off. Next time , it will not come on at all. It was a year old in May, but probably hasn"t been on 20 hours all together because it is in the basement, and we are very seldom down there. Please help me if you can.

Life source ua 767 plus set time &date

On my unit, on the lower left side, underneath where the grey hose attachs to the unit, there are two buttons that blend in with the white plastic body. One button has an icon of a clock at the 3 O'Clock position and the one next to it has a triangle on it. Press and hold the clock button. 4 seconds the display flashes the year, hit the triangle shape button to advance the year, then hit the clock button again, Month, day, hour, minute. Hit the clock button to advance to the next item, hit the triangle shape button to advance the item you are on to the proper date/time.

When we turn the power on iit only stays on a few seconds then turns off with the cst.in light flashing.. what does this mean and what can we do to fix it?? tks

I had the same problem. We watched a DVD, and the unit worked fine. We went out for ice cream, came back, and decided to watch a VHS. Instead of taking the VHS, the CST.IN light flashed and the unit cut off after a few seconds. We didn't have a VHS in the unit at the time. After cutting the unit back on several times without success, I looked online for solutions. One person said to hit 'eject' 5 times in a row, but that didn't work for my unit. Someone else said there was a lever inside near the power button that ejected the VHS, so I checked that out next. I washed and dryed my hands well, and used my finger to jiggle the white lever. Then I saw that the tray that the VHS sits on wasn't all the way forward, so I gently pulled and pushed it. I'm not sure which of the two actions worked, but my light is now a steady green and my unit is working fine now. I am so glad because we've had this unit for almost 10 years now, and I really didn't want to have to buy a new one! Good luck!

I'm having the same issue now. Did you ever figure out what was wrong with your unit? Was it a bad lamp? Mine is only 9 months old, low hours, but perhaps a bad one? Can't understand why it would light sometimes but not others.

RCA universal remote

Try it without a code. Turn your tv off. Press tv then press the on.off button and tv button at the same time. When it lights up, press play every five seconds until the tv powers off. Next press the reverse button every few seconds (sometimes takes a while), until it powers back on. When it powers back on hit the stop button to save the code.

Plasma tv screen goes black once you turn it on. Only sound

I have a panasonic TH-42PX60U plasma TV. When I watch TV programing I have no problems, or with the DVD input. But if I switch to another input, be it video game (PS2) or vcr the screen sometimes goes black and the red power lcd light next to the power switch flashes. Holding the power button in for a few seconds will shut down the tv. Then I can turn it back on and it may operate normally again for a undetermined period of time, before the screen goes black again. This never happened when new. The tv is about 1 year old. Any ideas on this problem? Thanks Ernie
