Hi,
That is the oven vent and it will throw alot of heat when the oven is on... that is very normal operation...the oven needs to be vented to for various reasons...

This can be a great benefit in the winter time but is very uncomfortable in the summer...so limit the summer use and use it like crazy in the winter...

What does it mean when a dryer starts to tick like a clock

the ticking sound you hear is the timer motor.this is normal on timed dry.on auto dry you should only hear it when the heater is turned off.if the dryer shuts off and will not start after 20 to30 min. the motor has over heated and stopped to prevent over heating.venting is the no.1 cause of this.the vent system needs to be checked first.if it is a magic chef, admiral,or maytag under a few years the part below the lint screen needs to have all that lint removed every 6mo.

There is no heat blowing when I select to have the heat blow on feet

sounds like a problem with either the dash unit, which is my guess electronic, or one of the servos that control the vent selection. there are two or three servos under your dash that control the airflow. when you select a position. the servo knows where to clock itself to select that vent. if the servo is dead, you get no operation from the vents. if the a/c unit has a malfunction, there could be a vent selection problem.

When should em. heat be used on a thermmostat setting?

anytime your below the workable temp of your heat pump, so say your heat pump is putting out 70 degree air at the vent its time to switch. no sence in over working your heat pump

My dryer DLE 2514W does not dry the clothes enought, we have to put it on for a second time to get them all dry. Seems to be alot of heat but doesnt dry the clothes

disconnect vent hose and run a load of clothes, if they are dry then the vent hose is restricted/clogged. if for some reason it is doing the same then take dryer apart and clean from lint screen back, I am almost certain that it is the vent tube.

Time clock has stoped working

Hello,

Below are the removal instructions from my website www.autoclockrepair.com. I also offer a very reasonable repair service.

1997 - 2001 Honda CRV Clock removal Instructions
The vent bezel assembly needs to come out prior to clock removal.
Follow these 4 steps
1. Using a wide, thin blade such as a putty or butter knife, pry the
assembly up a little at the bottom until it pops out and slightly.
2. Pull the bottom out as it clears, and the top of the vent bezel
assembly will follow.
3. Once you have the vent bezel out, remove the electrical plug from
the clock.
4. Unscrew the two phillips screws that hold the clock in place.

GE Profile dpsr473ewoww timer doesn't work and heat level is low

We should address the heat problem first. If your dryer complaint is "heat seems low" or taking "too long to heat", this is commonly confused for other problems. When in fact, you may really have a "ventillation problem". Do you feel (with hand) alot of hot air pressure coming out the back of the dryer or house vent-line (for dryer)?

I would disconnect and clean the dryer exhaust vent/duct (at wall and machine). Then, while leaving the vent-line disconnected temporaily, test and run your dryer. You may see an signficant improvement.

Does it heat up better?
Do you feel alot of hot air and pressure coming out the back of the dryer?
When connected; do you feel alot of hot air pressure coming out of your house dryer vent?

Not getting alot of heat

you have a vacume leat to the heater unit and that is needed to switch the blend doors and if you have rear heat you could have an air bubble in the lines.
