Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you'll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

My maytag oven has a function error. F5 and F3

Hi sorianocynth,

Maytag error F5 and F3 do have different indications. Error F5 means watchdog and hardware conflict. The only way to resolve this is to replace clock (ERC). On the other hnd, F3 means you have shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD). Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

For replacement part you may contact Sears at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central. When they send out the part detailed instruction will be provided.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Onen display shows f3

The F3 error code relates to the oven temperature sensor and usually means this has failed and needs to be replaced.

It is a reasonably straightforward job, details of which you can find here; www.fixitnow.com/2003/02/appliance-tip-of-the-day-oven-temperature.htm

Kitchenaid oven says Error code F3E0, oven sensor-upper what'sup

It means the sensor that lets the thermostat know what the temperature of the oven is has failed. You need a new sensor.

F3 - E0 Oven temperature sensor (RTD) opened (upper oven, if double oven) Replace Oven temperature sensor (RTD)

Note: Applies to all F3-E... codes.

From KitchenAid themselves

F3 E0

Code E2 F3 shows on Whirlpool gas stove readout

Wisco, this is a code for a overtemperature. You want to check the temp sensor in the oven. You need to ohm it out. Should read 1080 ohms at 70 degrees. If the sensor checks out ok, then I would suspect a welded or closed relay on the control itself. Catriver.
