Is this the login password, the system password, or the hard disk drive password? If it is just the login password then try logging in to
safe mode. When you reboot your computer hit the
f8 key until it goes into the different logins menu. Select
safe mode and go in and either change the password or create a new account without a password and give it administrative rights. Now you can reboot your computer to normal windows mode and change, add, or delete usernames/passwords. If the problem is the system/cmos password or the hard drive password, contact your system manufacter's website (i.e.
www.hp.com,
www.dell.com, etc.) and find out if it is possible to do this. Some systems allow you to reset it by removing and replacing the cmos battery. Others require you to contact the manufacturer through their outlets and provide a receipt for you computer before the can reset it for you. It just depends on what kind of laptop you have. Hope this helps. Good luck!
