Needle is threaded correctly, but no thread is going into material. How do I fix this?

1. Make sure the needle is in facing the right direction and that it is a new needle.
2. Is the thread pulled from the bobbin?
3. Check the bobbin tension and start the top tension at four. Always thread the machine with the foot in the up position. This way you can feel for snags while threading. If there are any they must be eliminated.
4. Following the instructions that I have attached and you are likely to succeed.
HOW TO SET YOUR TENSION
Real Important: The objective is to even the top and bobbin tensions equally.
1. Remove bobbin case. Put bobbin in (rotating counterclockwise).
2. Put thread under the tension plate. Let the bobbin hang from finger and bob up and down lightly.
3. Adjust tension. The bobbin should extend one inch every time it is bobbed.
4. Put one drop of oil on race the bobbin case sets on top of. Replace the bobbin case and bobbin.
5. With the pressure foot up thread the top and give little tugs as you do this. There should be no snags or resistance. Make sure the thread goes in between the tension disc.
6. Now, put pressure foot down. Give a little tug to see if there is a resistance. Set the tension to four is a good start.
7. Try a piece of rag to sew. Set the tension on top to adjust for a perfect stitch.

How can u put the robin or bobbin case back on the machine?

You need to refer to your user's manual, because it sounds to me like the bobbin case is not in properly, and that's why it popping out. They are usually a free download at Singer.

Threading bobbin singer athena 2009

Sorry... hate to say it but modern home singers are $%#&*@.

Have you tried a new bobbin? If the "spindle" spins... the bobbin should spin. Maybe your bobbin is busted or something?

My bobbin is stuck on my viking computer 400, broke one bobbin and wasted all the thread - put another on and it is full again - stuck...released the needle and that didn't work either...using expensive...

Did you get solution yet? More than likely you have bad bobbins. Their probably old and maybe cracked. They usually stick on the winder when they get old. Try some new ones.

Want pick up my bobbin

re-thread the top thread

when putting in the bobbin, make sure you put it in right,

hold the bobbin between you thumb and first finger of your right hand when you pull the thread with left hand it should rotate the bobbin counter clockwise.

If you run your machine all day you need to clean under the bobbin case,

Take the cover plate off, take out the bobbin case and clean under, i take a q-tip with machine oil and rub around the inside of the metal case and around the bobbin case,

replace the plastic bobbin case making sure it's in right, turn the hand wheel by hand, the case should stay still and the inside will move, the needle should not hit anything

put all back together and try again

if the bobbin turns clockwise you are going to have problems

if this helps please rate it
thanks,
good luck

Kenmore cant thread bobbin

Sounds like you haven't engaged the bobbin into the wheel that runs the threader...

I had to pull the thread thru one of the little holes of
the bobbin and run the machine carefully to get it to
start threading.

Hope this helps.

I just realized my problem... the little thing to put the bobbin on to refill it wasn't quite all the way back to the left. I can't believe it! I'm so glad that I figured out what it was though. Hopefully this information will help someone else!

How do you thread a kenmore sewing machine I can't figure out how to thread the bobbin for kenmore machine 1385.15343600.  I am a beginner, so I will need pretty detailed instructions. Thanks! Jenny

Put the bobbin on the short metal stick on top of the machine. Unthread the machine. Put the spool of thread on the tall, left side stick on top of the machine. Take the thread and wrap it counter clockwise around the circular, short, metal thing on the left side of the top of the machine, only 180 degrees. Thread the thread through the hole in the bobbin (which should be on top). Press the bobbin to the right, into the little white thing. Pull the turning wheel on the right side of the machine out. While holding the end of the thread, softly press the presser foot so that the thread goes around the bobbin a few times. After that, cut the end down to the bobbin. Now, press the presser foot down and wind the bobbin until it stops on it's own.

Bernina Bernette 65 sewing machine is not sewing properly. Thread is bunching up from the bobbin. I have re-thread the bobbin and the machine and read the manual. Ideas?

Presumably neither of you has or knows how to adjust your bobbin tension so, I'm going to presume it's your hook. Make sure you are threading the machine coorectly then you'll need to remove your needle plate by removing the two screws, pull out your hook (this is the part your bobbin sits in) but make sure you note which way it sits inside your machine. Have a look at the plastic hook for any sharp edges or burs, you may need to replace your hook or try and gently sand (400grit) the plastic if possible. The key part of the hook is the small blunted point as this is what catched the loop of thread behind the needle. Please make sure that when you put your hook back in, that it is on the left side of that little guard sticking out on the lower right of your machine.

Janome 9000

I have a Janome 9000, was sewing and broke needle, replaced and broke another. I didn't have machine threaded, took out bobbin and would sew a little and stop saying thread broke. I took off top plate and started machine again, sew a little and stop saying thread broke. So I took out bobbin case and sewed again and stopped repeating the message. Everything looks OK, bobbin case and top plate. I guess I want to know if the timing could be off or do you think it is the computer part of the machine...Should I take it to the Sewing Machine Shop??
