Recently i encountered problem with hp dv6000 laptop to be cleaned up from viruses. after successfully doing said task i reboot the unit and it was okay! i kept the unit for several days until the client get. several hours later the client bring back the unit complaining that the unit won't boot-up! to my surprise i checked the unit and truly it won't... indicators suggest a big problem ahead: all lights was on, no display on lcd and external. no beep sound or what so ever. i checked the hp site for possible hint to found that said model was included on the models that are noted with hardware / bios drawbacks that's why hp extends its warranty for another 1 year after the first yr warranty. disparately i tried some possible solution but no to avail. then suddenly i thought of REMOVING THE CMOS BATTERY in order to reset the cmos settings, after 10 minutes or so that i disconnected the battery i placed it back. Boot-up the system then i heard a BEEP! my client was happy ever after! ^_^

If your particular model of HP has the bluetooth installed from the factory, turning on the wireless switch on the front left edge of the laptop enables the bluetooth, as well as the wireless LAN. A bluetooth icon should appear in your taskbar, near the clock, when bluetooth is turned on. Most of the cheaper versions of the DV6000 series do not come with the bluetooth module installed. The module can be ordered from HP Parts and installed by the end user, if they have a little computer know how. You would then download and install the bluetooth software pack that is available on HP's support website.
Hope this will help to resolve your issue with Bluethooth..

What are the Troubleshooting steps you have tried?
Have you tried Microsoft website?
Do you have the Blinking Cursor?
Access the link below and try to perform a starup repair, as it might help us to fix the issue.
If the issue persists after performing the startup repair, try to perform a system restore.
1. Insert the installation disc.
Note The computer must be configured to start from a CD or from a DVD. For information about how to configure the computer to start from a CD or from a DVD, see the information that came with the computer.
2. Restart the computer. To do this, click Start , click the arrow next to the Lock button, and then click Restart .
Note If you cannot restart the computer by using this method, use the power button to turn off the computer. Then, turn the computer back on.
3. Set your language preference, and then click Next .
Note In most cases, the startup repair process starts automatically, and you do not have the option to select it in the System Recovery Options menu.
4. Click Repair your computer.
5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
6. In the System Recovery Options menu, click System Restore.
7. In the System Restore dialog box, click Choose a different restore point, and then click Next.
8. In the list of restore points, click a restore point that was created before you began to experience the issue, and then click Next.
The computer restarts, and the system files and settings are returned to the state that they were in at the time that the restore point was created.
Post back if it is not working we will be happy to help you.
Hope this helps.
