Try Resetting the Device Cache Partition by booting in to Recovery Mode.
o turn ON in Recovery Mode:
Step 1: Power off device completely (You Might need to Keep it on charge)
Step 2: Press and Hold "power" + "Vol up" for 5 sec
Step 3: Notice it flash boot screen twice
Step 4: Enter recovery menu use vol up and down to navigate
Step 5: Press power button for confirmation
Step 6: Wipe cache partition.
if clearing the cache partition doesn't help, you can also try resetting your device by formatting it to factory settings (ALL DATA WILL BE DELETED). for this Repeat the Steps upto 5, then use Step 6: Wipe data and clear cache.

You have to connect it to the computer and try to format it.
To reformat your Philips GoGear, you've to start WMP(WindowsMediaPlayer10series, than click on the button synchronize. At the top of this window is a button at the right corner which commands the formation. BUT in case the computer is not detecting and nothing is helping then try this procedure as follows:---
Follow these steps exactly:
1 Reset your player first by inserting a pin or sharp object into the reset hole at the back of the player. 2 Launch Philips Device Manager from Start > Programs > Philips Device Manager. Select the Repair Tab. 3 While pressing the Vol + on your device, connect it to the PC. 4 Confirm Yes when you see the screen , you can release the Vol + now. 5 Choose your device name (SA5245/37) in the box. 6 After the repair completes , click OK and continue using your player as usual.
If still the same problem then its a problem with internal inbuilt battery. For this the unit needs to be disassembled but its not easy.
