Why is my TV blinking?

Hi why is my tv blinking. It only responds to remote sometimes I have the blinking too. Mine is a 5 year old Mitsubishi WS-A65. The picture blinks to black but the sound is always OK. It can go several minutes without a blink and then blink 3-4 times. It happens so often the TV is not usable.

The power supply or there is a fault in the display drive circuit areas.

The set would have to be troubleshooted by an experienced tech who is familiar with your set, and has the service manuals for it.

Most likely the tech will end up doing some board changes to fix the set.

Considering the age of the set and the fact of investing money in to it, I would retire the set and seriously start shopping for a new one.

My Mitsubishi projection TV will not produce audio or video

Hi,
Two things are involved to cause that problem, tv remote control and remote sensor in tv.
Upon verification of remote working, it would be confirm that remote sensor in tv is defective and need to be replaced.
Remote control sends infra red light signal to tv and we can not see that light with naked-eye, so need digital camera or cell phone camera to see it by watching remote front through camera, press any keys on remote, if you see infra red light is blinking in remote front that means remote is working and remote sensor in tv will be replaced.
If no light blinking on pressing remote buttons confirm that this remote is defective and buy new remote.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Can't get PX-RC1 to work with my older JVC

sometimes the universal remote controls cannot recognice old codes try this general process for remote contrl 15-2142
SEARCHING FOR YOUR CODE
If your device does not respond to the remote after
trying all codes listed for your brand, or if your
brand is not listed, try searching for your code. For
example, to search for a code for your TV:
1. Press TV once.
2. Press and hold P until the red LED blinks
twice, then release.
3. Enter 9 9 1. The LED blinks twice.
4. Aim the remote at the TV and press Power.
The remote sends IR codes from its library to
the selected device, starting with the most
popular code first.
5. If the TV responds, go to step 6. If the TV
does not respond, press CH+. The remote will
try the next code. Continue until the TV
responds.
NOTE: Press CH- to try the previous code.
6. To lock in the code, press P once. The LED
blinks twice.
7. To search for other device codes, repeat steps
1 to 6, substituting the appropriate device
key.

Mitsubishi WS-55511 Problem TV out - Getting only continously blinking green light on the front-panel

I had the same problem with the blinking light on the front of the TV and it would not power up. I read all the problems everyone was having and thought I was going to face a huge repair bill. The service guy came out, pulled off the front panel where the speakers are and disconnected the circuit for the front display panel. 3 1/2 minutes in my house, $90 service call. Apparently, when you give the TV too many commands at once, it's safety feature is to"shut down and lock up". He mentioned also that sometimes when these sets get to be about 4-5 years old, the wires in front can "leak" causing a shortage and then locking up the TV. I keep the circuit unplugged and operate the TV solely by the remote. Give it a try, what can it hurt!! Hope this helps.

Bush 32" TV. desperate situation. T-T

The TV is in protection mode. An internal problem was detected and the set shutdown to prevent further damage. If the set is only 9 months old, it should still be under warranty. Call and request warranty service.
