Haier dryer makes ticking noise

The ticking noise could be either a piece of the belt hitting as it spins around, it could be something stuck in the drum that is hitting it as it turns too, or it could be the electric motor making the noise. Either way it sounds like you may need to tear it apart to see what's going on.

usually the humming sound is coming from the motor, try this, open the door, turn the drum with one hand and hold the door switch in with your other hand and have someone else push the start button at the same time, this might help the motor turn on but if it does you need a new motor,if you can't turn the drum you could have something stuck in the blower wheel or something jammed in the motor like a broken belt but like i said a humming sound is usually the motor.

When the dryer is running it makes squeaking noises. what is the problem. what can be done to fix it.

There could be something stuck between the inner and outer drums, or (more likely) the main drum bearing has worn out. A third possibility is that one of the motor or idler pulleys is making the noise, but in my experience this isn't extremely likely. The best approach would be to remove the rear panel (don't forget to unplug first) and turn a few things by hand to see if you can identify where the noise is coming from. Remove the back panel of the drum to clear anything stuck between the inner and the outer. If you find that the drum bearing is worn, you should be able to undo the bracket holding it and purchase a replacement from an engineering supplies store or specialised bearing retailer.

Remove the drum on a top loaded washing machine

odds on something being between the tub and basket is very small.  noise probably coming from brake/clutch or transmission just to name a few possibilities...

When I press the start button on my Kenmore dyer it make a noise but won't start

if it's a humming or like a buzzing noise it's coming from the motor.try spinning the drum by hand,if it moves freely it could be the motor,if the drum is hard to move you could have something like a sock stuck in the blower wheel or something is jamming up the machine and the motor can't move.also just yesterday i found the belt broke and was rapped around the motor so you'll have to get in there and take a look.good luck, let me know what you find

there maybe a coin or something stuck between the two drums, when the machine spins fast it lifts the item up, unplug the appliance and remove the botton drum hose to see if you can get it out.

Thumping noise in atlantis dryer after drying heavy mattress pad

Have you husband do a visual inspection of the drum and literally feel it to see if anything is caught or stuck on the drum. The motor also may have something caught in it as well. This would be the motor that turns the drum.
